      <title>What is my signature ID?</title>
      <link>https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/security/help/what-is-my-signature-id/01/27224#M6</link>
<description>Your signature ID (also called a self-select PIN) is a random 5-digit number you entered last year, right before you transmitted your return. You can use it to verify your identity on this year's return. It's not the 5-digit e-filing PIN you may have gotten from the IRS last year, unless you chose to use the same 5 digits as your signature ID (which is perfectly fine). We don't store your signature ID in your account and it's not on your printouts. Hopefully, you memorized it, wrote it down, or took a screenshot of it. If you forgot last year's signature ID, you'll need to provide your 2020 AGI for verification purposes. You'll be able to use this year's signature ID to verify next year's return, so make sure you record it. Your mobile number must be registered to your name and address for this to work. We unfortunately can't verify your identity by phone if: Your mobile phone is registered to your work. <link>https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/security/help/what-is-two-step-verification/01/26649#M28</link>
<description>Two-step verification (a.k.a. two-factor authentication, multi-factor authentication, or MFA) is a financial industry standard in which a user is required to provide additional verification after signing in. Often a verification code is provided to the user via text message or automated phone call. Any time you sign in to an existing TurboTax account on an unrecognized computer or device, we'll ask you to verify your identity first. For an additional layer of security, you can enable the verification feature each time you sign in with our&amp;nbsp;two-step verification feature or the Google Authenticator app. We call this opt-in two-step verification. If you later disable of this feature, we'll still ask you to verify the first time you sign in on an unrecognized device. When you set up two-step verification, we may ask you some questions to confirm your identity. We know these questions might be a little personal, but we take your privacy seriously and want to make sure that it's really you. <title>How to create a strong password for your online TurboTax account</title>
      <link>https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/security/help/how-to-create-a-strong-password-for-your-online-turbotax-account/01/25994#M42</link>
<description>To protect your sensitive information, your TurboTax account password must be at least 8 characters long (32 characters maximum). Your password must include all of the following: Upper-case character Lower-case character Number Symbol The more you combine them, the stronger your password will be. Tips Use a different password for each online account. Using the same password for multiple accounts puts them all at risk if one is hacked. Create a password that is hard to guess, but easy to remember. Use syllables or acronyms to create your password. For example, four score and seven years ago could become fsasya, 4s&amp;amp;7ya, or foSCanSeYeAG. Don't use numerical or alphabetical sequences such as 123456 or abcdef. Don't use names or special dates in your password. This keeps your password from being easily guessed. Use a password manager to securely store your password. You can find some good ones on the Internet at low cost or even for free. Never share your password with others or write them down. If there's ever any activity on your account you need to know about, we'll contact you via email. Related Information: What is two-step verification?</description>
