You show $8,880 and claim the $888 as withholding (similar to what you would do with a Form W-2,)  You should be able to enter the Form 1099-R this way.

You show $8,880 and claim the $888 as withholding (similar to what you would do with a Form W-2,)  You should be able to enter the Form 1099-R this way.

So the tax is being calculated on the 8888 instead of just the 8000 correct?
