We took a RMD from an inherited Money Market Fund and have not received a 1099-R. Are we supposed to file a 1099-R for this? We did for the RMD we took from separate IRA.

You need to ask if the Money Market Fund is a retirement account. If it is, then yes, you should have received a 1099 R for the distribution. If it is not a retirement account, you may have investment income to report, (dividends, interest and/or capital gains), but the distribution itself is not included in your return.

If it is not a retirement account, you do not have to take a required minimum distribution.
