You do not need to wait for the check to be processed. In fact, you can make the IRA contribution at any time before April 17, 2018.

You can e-file your return once it is complete.

I have submitted my return but got the following message "Oops-an issue occurred. Please check back shortly". It is submitted or not? Do I have to process it again?
