You can enter your Canadian RRSP distribution as follows:

  1. Click on Federal on the left hand side of your screen in the black area
  2. Click on Wages & Income
  3. Scroll down (you may need to click All Income) to Retirement Plans and Social Security
  4. Click on Show more
  5. Click on Show more for Canadian Registered Pension Income.

Do we have to enter it again on the state side as RRSP Interest and Dividend Income (interest or dividends?)

Any income you earn in the RRSP is usually exempt from tax as long as the funds remain in the plan; you generally have to pay tax when you receive payments from the plan.
