I'm being asked to enter TSP withholding amount for my NJ state return. Do I need to report this? I haven't made any withdrawals? I previously reported tsp as "D" on my federal return.

Yes, you do. NJ does not allow a deduction from taxable wages for contributions to a TSP.

No, I don’t think you do. Your state taxable wages already include the tsp contribution, which is why it is higher than federal wages (for nj).
