Your Form 1099-R will not indicate that you are taking a required minimum distribution. It will be reported as a normal distribution with code 7 in Box 7 and boxes 8 through 14 are unrelated. Once you enter your personal information and Form 1099-R, the program will recognize the distribution as a required minimum distribution.
