Why won't the program let me enter my retirement income and my minimum distribution from a retirement fund?

You can enter that information by typing 1099-R in Search and clicking Jump To and you will  be asked, for each 1099-R whether the distribution was an RMD and how much of it was an RMD.

If you did not meet your RMD requirements, you will have to upgrade.

I can't enter my RMD distributions for 2019. The message is:

"The Retirement Income Area Will Be Ready Soon"

Then under that:

"We expect this will be ready for for you by 1/21/2020"

It is now 4/14/2020.  Why can't I enter the information?

If you are using the Desktop CD/Download program you need to update it.  Go up to Online-Check for Updates.  Or for Mac reboot your computer.
