Why was I not prompted to use form 4972? I think I meet all the qualifications.

In Turbo Tax when you fill out the 1099R, did you check the Total Distribution box for line 2a?  I found that if that box is checked, line 7 has “7A” checked and the person was born before 1936, then Turbo Tax will prompt for Form 4972.  I haven’t played around with the various scenarios other than that one.
