Why is TT requiring the use of 8915-F for a fourth year? I said no on the question about taking a distribution like it said but it’s still not allowing me to file.

This delay in being able to file is very frustrating. I am rethinking using turbo tax this and every other year.

Others have mentioned that TurboTax is failing to delete the Form 8915-F after the third year.  You'll need to delete it yourself.

Yes this is an issue that will probably be corrected in a future update ... for now here is the workaround:

If you are using the Downloaded program  go to Forms mode and delete the Form 8915-F and the Form 1099-R that was transferred from the 2022 return.

Click on Forms.  When in Forms mode the 8915-F and the 1099-R should be located in the forms/schedules/worksheets list on the left side of the screen.   Click on the form to open and then scroll down and click on the Delete button.

If you are using the online program ...

  1. Open your return in TurboTax. (To do this, sign in to TurboTax, and select Take me to my return.)
  2. In the left-side menu, select Tax Tools Tools.
  3. In the pop-up window Tool Center, choose Delete a form.
  4. Select Delete next to the form/schedule/worksheet in the list and follow the onscreen instructions.

IRS is not even open for e-File yet.

It's not wise to SUBMIT on the first day or prior to.

THANK you, I actually had to start over and then delete the disaster form first before doing anything.
