Why is there no box to check off if taxes were already taken out for a 1099-R

What happens if taxes were already taken out for a life insurance policy? Do we still have to claim this on our 1099-R?

Does not your Form 1099-R have the amount of the federal taxes withheld entered in box 4 of the form?

As mentioned in your other threads ALL 1099-R forms MUST be entered in the program exactly as as printed or you risk getting a nasty IRS letter.
