ROTH IRA contributions are taxable, and ‌withdrawals are tax free.

  • You said you didn't exceed the $7,000 limit.
  • There is a contribution limit of $7,000 on contributions for individuals younger than 50 years old.
  • There is no limit to an authorized withdrawal.
  • Was this money you put into a Roth IRA?

I figured it out. I had a rare big bonus last year that increased my MAGI and disqualified me from contributing to my Roth IRA in 2025. I requested a refund for excess contributions to remedy this.  It should be fine next year. Thank you for following up.
