Why is my retirement income less than my retirement taxable income
Look at your 1040 lines 4,5and 6 (if applicable) and see if the amounts are correct.

Why is my retirement income less than my retirement taxable income
1040 line 4a or 5a is less than the b line? Yes that can happen. Do you have more than 1 1099R? If the gross amount on one 1099R is the same as the taxable amount the gross amount is not included on the "a" line. Only the taxable amount on the b line is important. So make sure the taxable amount on "b" is right.
