Why can I not remove retirement plan from deductions? The $15.00 will not go away. Do not want to pay for turbotax deluxe for $90 if I am only getting the benefit of $15.

Unfortunately, it's not a matter of leaving out tax events that increase your software price, it's a matter of filing your return correctly. If you made an IRA contribution, you need to report it. This will be necessary information for the future.

Pending simply means that your e-filed return is on its way and that the government hasn't accepted or rejected it yet.
