There was no advance child tax credit for tax year 2020.   The advance child tax credit was only paid to people in 2021.  Your 2020 tax return will show your child tax credit and the additional child tax credit--

Line 19 shows the child tax credit

Line 28 shows the additional child tax credit

The Child Tax Credit is entered on your 2021 federal tax return Form 1040 on Line 28.

Any advance Child Tax Credit you received from the IRS in July thru December 2021 is entered on the 2021 Schedule 8812, Credits for Qualifying Children and Other Dependents on Line 14f of the 8812.
