Where do I update my income? I see the sections and the update buttons, but cannot enter any of my 1099 form info anywhere

Please clarify the nature of the 1099.   Is it a 1099-R,  1099-DIV, 1099- MISC, or other forms?  And what version of TurboTax are you in?  This will help guide us to the right place to resolve your question.

1099-MISC, Online TurboTax.

At any rate, I can't modify ANY of my income. I think I remember having this issue last year too and had to enter every section from scratch, not being able to update the income sections from the previous year.

Now I have the same issue. The program doesn't even run me to enter any income at all and skips to deductions.

To enter a 1099-MISC: 

1. Open or continue your return, if you're not already in it.
2. Search for 1099-misc and select the Jump-to link.
3. Answer Yes to Did you get a 1099-MISC?
   • If you already entered a 1099-MISC, you'll be on the 1099-MISC Summary screen, in which case select Add Another 1099-MISC.
   • If you need to edit or delete a previously-entered 1099-MISC, select the appropriate button.
4. Enter the info from your form into the corresponding boxes.
   • If you need to enter boxes 4–6 or 8–17, check My form has other info in boxes 1–17 to expand the form.

If your 1099-MISC was for any of the following, you'll enter it in another section of TurboTax.

• Rental Properties and Royalties (Schedule E):
  • Search for rental income and expenses (using this exact phrase) and select the Jump to link
• Farm Income and Farm Rental:
  • Search for farm income and select the Jump to link

There's no JUMP TO link when I follow these steps. The only thing showing up is more answers like this one.

What happened to Turbo Tax? It used to be so easy.... what am I doing wrong?

To find it without the Jump to link:

1. Select Federal from the left side menu.
2. Select Wages and Income toward the upper left.
3. Scroll down or expand the list, find 1099-MISC and other income.
4. Scroll down or expand the section and select Income form Form 1099-MISC.
5. Click Start or Edit to the right.
6. Answer Yes to Did you get a 1099-MISC?
7. If you already entered a 1099-MISC, you'll be on the 1099-MISC Summary screen, in which case select Add Another 1099-MISC. If you need to edit or delete a previously-entered 1099-MISC, select the appropriate button.
8. Enter the info from your form into the corresponding boxes.
9. If you need to enter boxes 4–6 or 8–17, check My form has other info in boxes 1–17 to expand the form.
