Where do I enter the social security of my ex for the alimony received?

Where do I enter the social security of my ex for the alimony received?  1040 did not ask for the social security number.  When 1040 printed, line 11 shows amount received but no where to it asks like 31b paid recipients ss is clearly requested.  I efiled already do I need to amend with the social security?  If so, tried to amend, it still does not ask for the social security number.

If you are receiving alimony, you do not need to enter the Social Security number of the person who paid it to you.  You only report the amount that you received, reported on Line 11 of Form 1040.

If you are the person paying the alimony, then you will be prompted to enter the SSN of the person you are paying.  This is reported on Line 31b of Form 1040.

So, in your case, you do not need to file an amended return to report the SSN since you are receiving the alimony and not paying it.
