If he’s not getting a pension and didn’t take any cash out or move it to a IRA you don’t report it.  Just enter it from the W2.  Probably box 12 Code D.

Why are you expecting a 1099R?  Did you take a RMD or Distribution or do a rollover, etc?

My husband works for the USPS and has a retirement account through them. The amount is on his W-2 already, so maybe I don't need a 1099?
