When rechecking info the box marked withdrawal is a Total rmd is blank. Remarking it again gets same results. This will probably cause a tax penalty?

No, this will not cause a tax penalty.  Retirement plan distributions can be assumed to be RMD, as the Plan Administrators are directed to do.

If this was a regular distribution after age 72, it doesn't matter if the box is checked or not in TurboTax.
