you need a copy of your 1040 tax return for each such year to enter the required information into TurboTax 2022.

Clarifying question ... On the worksheet "Figure Your Additional Taxable Benefits (From a Lump-Sum Payment for a Year After 1993)" line 7 asks me to "Enter your taxable benefits for the earlier year that you previously reported".

 

Does this mean "IF" I received benefits in the previous year?  Or the amount I received in 2022 lump sum?

 

I didn't receive any benefits until 2022, when I received lump sums for 2021 and 2020.  So would the answer to line 7 on this worksheet be zero?

"previously reported" means on tax returns before this one that is triggering your questions.
