I'm having the same issue. "Our program has not updated to support this yet. Please check back later for updates" QTP to Roth IRA transfer. Have deleted and re-entered. That is not the fix. Please provide update for software so filing of taxes can proceed.
would appreciate info on time of update, or should I just override to continue.
Since many taxpayers don't enter their 1099-Q (entire distribution was for qualified expenses), you can check the 'Trustee to Trustee' option and then report the IRA contribution in that section separately. Here's more info on Reporting Roth Rollover from 1099-Q.
I get an error message in the "Smart check" step after completing taxes. The error message reads: Form 1099-Q QTP to Roth IRA transfer - You have indicated this is a QTP to Roth IRA transfer. Our program has not updated to support this yet. Please check back later for updates.
I cannot submit my taxes until this update is implemented. Please provide a timeline for when this update will be implemented.
I am having the same issue. "Program has not upgraded to support this yet." When will this be fixed?
You may need to do a manual update.

I am getting the same message today March 1. I am using Mac OS version desktop and all updates have been occurring regularly. What should I do here? I assume turbotax will not allow electronic filing with this "error" cited during the smart review. Any other thoughts especially from Intuit? I did not have any problems with this issue last year when I completed a 529 to Roth transfer.
Thanks
If the transfer to a Roth IRA is for the beneficiary (not you as recipient) they can report it on their own return (if required to file). Otherwise, the Form 1099-Q and Form 5498 reporting the transfer is sufficient for your records. You may also get a 1099-R from the 529 plan administrator showing the non-taxable transfer.
As long as you made this as a trustee-to-trustee transfer (where the funds went directly to your Roth IRA from the 529 plan) and you did not exceed the $7,000 contribution limit, you do not need to report the transaction at all.
If the 1099-Q distribution was for qualified education expenses (excluding the Roth transfer), you're not required to report it in your return. Here's more detailed info on Form 1099-Q.
For more details, see IRS Pub. 970, Page 53.
