When filing my state taxes, Texas does not come up as an option in the drop down box

Texas does not have a State income tax.

Texas does not have a State income tax.

It is because TX does not have state income tax.

In which section of your return are you trying to select the state? If you are entering your W-2 form, leave boxes 15-17 empty.
