Please clarify the question. Are you amending a return, and did you get or expect to get any 1099-R's?
I'm amending a return with unexpected 1099-r's (received two from a job I didn't work in 2021). The screen said I had taken money out of the accounts but I don't remember doing so
If you think your 1099-R is wrong, you should contact the payer listed on the form.
That being said, if you leave a job and have an outstanding loan from your retirement plan, they will issue a 1099-R showing the amount as an early distribution.
If the amount in your retirement plan is small, they may just issue you a check for the balance. This is also an early retirement distribution.
If you feel certain you did not receive this distribution, please contact the payer and let them know. They will be able to tell you how and when this distribution was made.
