What is the Payer's Federal Identification Number? I have a SSA-1099-SM. Where is this number on the form?

I'm doing my taxes. Where can I find this number? Please...anybody. Thank you.

If you have a form SSA-1099-SM, it sounds as if you may be in a different section of the TurboTax program. You should not see that question.

Follow the steps below to enter the form.

1. Sign into your Online account and select Take me to my return

2. Select Federal in the left side panel.

3. Next select Income & Expenses at the top.

4. Scroll down to Retirement Plans and Social Security

5. Select Start/Revisit next to Social Security (SSA-1099, RRB-1099)

6. Follow the onscreen instructions to enter the form.
