What are the state ID's for Tennessee and Texas? The drop-down box did not include the state of Texas and I understand because Texas does not have a state income tax.

The help AI told me to just enter a different state So I entered Tennessee. I did not live there but now it wants to state ID for Tennessee. What should I do?

If the income was from a state that does not have a personal income tax then leave boxes 15, 16 and 17 blank (empty) on the TurboTax W-2.

If this does not correct the problem then delete the W-2 and re-enter manually .

Several  states do not have a state income tax.  So these states will not show up in certain drop down lists.   Leave boxes 15, 16, and 17 blank when you enter a W-2 for these states.
