TurboTax only asking for my income. My husband gets social security retirement but where do I put in spouse income?

I'm using TurboTax Deluxe desktop version.  I had imported some info from Quicken including SSN income.  In the Wages & Income, Retirement Plans and Social Security section when I click Update it appears it imported under my name only and is asking questions for me.  There's nowhere to add more income or to edit this entry to correct it to his name.

I would go back to the step by step entry and make sure it shows 2 columns especially if you entered the spouse using Forms mode.   Otherwise something else might be missing.  Don't use Walk me though everything.  Pick the other choice - I'll choose what I work on.   Then go directly to the SS entry.

Enter a SSA-1099, SSA-1099-SM or RRB-1099 under

Federal Taxes (Personal for Home&Business)

Wages and Income

Then scroll down to Retirement Plans and Social Security

Then the second line - Social Security (SSA-1099. RRB-1099) - click the Start, Update or Revisit button

Here's a screen shot from 2024.  Then after you fill out this screen be sure to continue and answer the Foreign County question for each spouse on the next page - should be NO.  That is VERY Important.

If you are filing a Joint return then when you go to Social Security there should be 2 columns, one for each of you.   Go back to My Info and check if you picked Married and filing together.

Enter a SSA-1099, SSA-1099-SM or RRB-1099  under

Federal Taxes

Wages and Income

Then scroll down to Retirement Plans and Social Security

Then the second line - Social Security (SSA-1099. RRB-1099) - click the Start or Revisit  button

After you enter it keep going.  There are follow up questions you need to answer.  Especially look for if you lived in a Foreign country.  Should be No.

I went to the Form itself and see two columns.  Two columns were not available or displayed when using the walk me through everything method in the program.

Thanks, that's what I ended up doing (going directly to the form)

No  I'm saying not to enter it on the actual form.  Go back to the Step by Step interview and make sure it works there and gives you the 2 columns.  And if it doesn't show 2 columns other things will be very wrong on your return.

In the current desktop version you don't get two columns using either the "Walk me through everything" or "I'll choose what I work on".  You do get them when going directly to the form.  Everything on the forms appear correct.  It was on the form that I moved the SS income from myself (listed as Spouse) to my husband (listed as Taxpayer).  I think there is an issue using the two guided routes in that neither give an option to enter other SS income or change what was listed.  I don't know if that's an issue because I imported my income data.  That would be my best guess.
