TurboTax is asking for my k-1 information already before I have produced one. Where can I produce a k-1 first?

Please clarify your question.

• Are you saying you have a business that has to create a K-1?
• Is this your personal return and you had a K-1 last year?
• K-1's don't have to be completed until March 15th.

You'll need TurboTax Business to create a tax return for a business, which will include Schedules K-1 for the members.

If you're working on your personal tax return, TurboTax will ask about K-1s if you had any last year, or if you said you expected to have a K-1 during the initial interview.  You can skip that section until you've filed the business return.
