Turbotax is asking "any Roth IRA conversions? Did I convert a traditional IRA to a Roth IRA before 2021?" why before 2021 not in 2021?

Turbotax is asking "any Roth IRA conversions? Did I convert a traditional IRA to a Roth IRA before 2021?" why before 2021 not in 2021?

A conversion performed in 2021 is reported separately by entering the 2021 Form 1099-R that reports the distribution that was converted to Roth.
