Someone else had that problem too.
BUT...they went back and edited both W-2 forms...and the individual found they had indicated that both W-2 forms were for the same person.
Once they properly selected which person was for which W-2...then the notice for excess contribution went away.
When you add a W-2, there is a question, "who does this W-2 belong to" (self or spouse). Make sure the W-2s are assigned to the correct spouse.
