Turbo tax is telling me that I qualify for EITC as my income is $9240 but I get SS and my pension and no earned income. Why is it saying this?

To qualify for the EITC, you need to have earned income such as wages and self-employment income.

If you only receive SS benefits and pension income, you have no earned income and are not eligible for the EITC.

Also if you are 65 or older, you are not eligible for the EITC even if you have earned income.
