Turbo Tax is requiring I select a state in Box 15 of the W2. Tennessee is not listed as one of the states in the drop down.

TN does not have an income tax. Leave boxes 15,16, & 17 BLANK, empty, no spaces.

Several states do not have a state income tax. So these states will not show up in certain drop down lists. Leave boxes 15, 16, and 17 blank when you enter a W-2 for these states.

Alaska, Florida, Nevada, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington and Wyoming

You may have to delete the W-2 and re-enter the W-2 manually.

Leave boxes 15 thru 20 blank (empty) on the TurboTax W-2.
