Turbo Tax is not displaying a screen for me to enter my SEP contribution. What could cause this. I was self employed for 10 months and have selfemplyment income

Did you have a profit on the Sch C ?

• On the top row of the TurboTax online screen, click on Search (or for CD/downloaded TurboTax locate the search box in the upper right corner)
• This opens a box where you can type in “self-employed retirement” (be sure to enter exactly as shown here) and click the magnifying glass (or for CD/downloaded TurboTax, click Find)
• The search results will give you an option to “Jump to self-employed retirement”
• Click on the blue “Jump to self-employed retirement” link and enter your information

TurboTax doesn't put up such a screen automatically.

You have to go searching for it.

When you get there, use the "maximize contribution" button to see if you put in too much, which is bad.

do this after your return is complete in all other respects.
