Turbo Tax is holding my return up for Form 8915F. My early dispursement is not due to covid. How do I avoid using Form 8915E-T or 8915F?

If you did not take a COVID-related distribution, you could not split that over three years.

You don't need the 8915 Form.

If you did not take a COVID (disaster) distribution then you will not need Form 8915-F. Your distribution will be taxable in full if you do not have an after-tax cost basis.

There is a question that you must answer be able to move forward in your tax return.

  1. Sign into your TurboTax return
  2. Search (upper right) for 1099r > Click the Jump to .... link
  3. On the 'Here's your 1099-R info'  screen Click Continue button
  4. The next screen is 'Have you ever taken a disaster distribution before 2021?' > Answer 'No'
  5. Continue through the screens in this section until completed
