My contribution to 457b is larger than normal.

I went back to "Federal Taxes," then "Wages & Income," then "Walk me through everything," then "Wages and Salaries/Form W-2/Update," then clicked "Edit" for the relevant W-2 form. On the third screen of questions, TurboTax asked whether the employer is a state/local government.

I tried this and it did not work for me.  I even verified the W2 Form to make sure the box  "G-Employer is Not a State and Local Government" was not checked.

Same with me--fix it please!

I finally had to delete my W2 and have a representative log in and walk me through it.  It was the only way I could find to do it.

Jonathan was right on the mark. I went back and realized it had my response as NO to the question of being a state or local government. Once I corrected this error, the e-filing of my return went through without a hitch.  Thanks so much!

What if your employer is not a state or local government?
