I put in money for a 401k for the first time and I'm not sure if that is what it is for??

Are your codes "D" and "DD"?

Code D is 401k contributions and Code DD is employer-sponsored coverage.

The former may entitle you to a Saver's Credit if your income is low enough.

The latter doesn't impact your return at all.

Make sure you choose the codes in the dropdown boxes, not the (irrelevant) box numbers (a,b).
