The system is not accepting my entry for box 12a on my 1099R. Amount is 0.00 and its not accepted?

Zero is not a valid amount. If box 12 is zero then make sure all boxes 12-14 are BLANK - not 0.

The ONLY box on a 1099-R that can have a 0 (zero) in it is box 2a and then only if the payer actually put a zero in box 2a. Any other box with a zero must be blank.
