Taxable amount on my CSA1099R (box 2a) is not the same as what is computed by turbotax when I enter all the information. enough to probably get an audit. how do I fix?
Is there a way I can override the program and enter the correct taxable amount that is on the 1099?

Box 2a may not be correct however you can always use the amount on box 2a if you wish just don't click the box 2b ... delete the 1099-R and enter it again.

Be sure that you choose the CSA 1099-R type and not just a 1099-R.
The box 2a may or may not be the taxable amount if you are using the simplified method and have a basis in the account.
If you are not using the simplified method and use box 2a then TurbpTax interview will ask you if you want to use box 2a as the taxable amount.
Delete the 1099-R and re-enter.

A CSA 1099-R does not have a box 2b.
