Tax Year 2016: My dependent received social security income

My daughter's father (my ex husband) passed away at the beginning of 2016. My daughter has been receiving social security benefits that totaled just over $10,000. Do I file a return for her or include this informative on my tax return?

Neither, if that is the only income she received.  If social security is the only income, that income is not included on the tax return.  If she had other income, then she would file her own return and include it there.
