Where do I find my tax exempt interest in 2024? Is there a summary somewhere in my 2024 filing? In filling out my 2025 taxes, I need to have this information.
Thank you

1040 Line 2a
Thank you. I found #2a on my 1040.
Do I also add in #5a-#5b Pension/Annuity, and #6a-6b (Social Security Benefits)? #5b and #6b show a taxable amount, which is less than the total amount in #5a and #5b, so I'm wondering if that means they're tax exempt.
Thanks
Line 2a is tax-exempt interest income. What are you adding up?
Line 5a is your total pension income and 5b is the taxable portion. So, the difference between 5a and 5b is the federally non-taxable portion of pension income. Same with 6a and 6b. 6a is the total social security income you received and 6b is the taxable portion, making the difference your federally non-taxable portion social security income.
