Sole Proprietor Business income incorrectly shown in summary

Hi tax expert,

I am using TurboTax home and business 2025, WinPerRelease, version [phone number removed].

There seems to be a discrepancy in Sole Proprietorship income.  I entered my 1099-NEC and schedule C, so the Business Income should be lower than what is in box 1 of the 1099-NEC.  I deleted the 1099-NEC but my "Sole Proprietor Business" income is still shown on the summary page (I supposedly have zero).  Also, I don't have any 1099-MISC box 7 amount from last year.

Is it correct and why if it is?

Please release a bug fix if this is not correct as it may cause many people to pay more tax than necessary.

Thanks,

I figured out what was going on.  TurboTax somhow added a 1099-K for the same amount of what I entered for 1099-NEC.  The amount is correct after I went into Business Income and deleted the 1099-K for the duplicated amount.

We have had reports of some Desktop users seeing unexpected results for the landing page/ summary screen of an income category, even though the data is correctly entered in the program.

Try going to Forms Mode, by clicking on Forms at the top menu, to confirm whether the items you entered are on the forms and any related calculations were completed.

If you have a Schedule C, you may want to enter any Forms 1099-NEC in the Business section of Home & Business rather than in the Other Common Income section of Personal Income.

Hi MonikaK1,

Thanks for your idea on using the Business section to enter the schedule C.

I still don't understand why I have "Sole Proprietor Business" income from the summary.  I completely deleted the income from the 1099-NEC, but I still had some income for this category.  As shown in the image of the original post, my "Other Common Income" areas are all 0, but there was still an amount of $6054 in the summary.  Where did this $6054 amount come from?  Is this a TurboTax bug?
