I had no other outside income except SS, so in the worksheet, after taking of half (line 2) and subtraction 32K (line 9) I show zero, which means when done, I don't owe any taxes on 54K of SS. Is that correct? looks bad?

Yes. If you only get Social Security it is not taxable and you don’t need to file a return. If you still want to file for some reason you can enter $1 of interest. That will let you efile and won’t affect your return.
