No, do not add the amount of contribution to 457b plan to the information on your W-2 in box 16. When you enter the information for your W-2 match the information on your W-2 with the information on the TurboTax screen. If you have done this you have reported your income correctly.
Thank you. That's what I thought, but the turbo tax program was adding to my gross income for box 16. Possibly because employer based out of Delaware and I live in NJ. 457b is taxed in NJ. I adjusted my box 16 amount and it came to correct amount. Thx again.
