Rolled over after-tax 401k to Roth IRA, & pre-tax to traditional IRA. TT asks me if I made contributions to Roth, which triggers excess contibution message. Help?

Of course it does because you did NOT make any IRA contribution of new money ... you only ROLLED over old contributions ... REMOVE the erroneous contribution entry to remove the error.

Rollovers from other tax deferred accounts are not contributions and must not be entered as such.
