Regarding RMD, should the gross (before taxes) or net amount (after taxes) be entered?

Turbotax is asking the amount of the RMD that was due by Dec. 31, 2025. Is this the gross or the net amount of the RMD I received?

The RMD is calculated on the account balance of the retirement account, so you want to enter the GROSS amount.

The Gross amount.  Usually Box 1 on your 1099-R

Thank you very much.  I more-or-less expected it to be the gross amount, but thank you for confirming that.
