Received a SSA-1099 for deceased father due to SS benefits he was still owed after death. It was split between his beneficiaries. Do I need to include this $ as income?

The money owed him by Social Security was split between myself and 5 siblings as his beneficiaries.  Am I required to claim this small amount of $ ($242.16) as income on my tax return?

If the form SSA-1099 is in your name, you must include it on your tax return, even if it is for a small amount.

Depending on your other income, part of this amount may be taxable. TurboTax will automatically calculate the taxable part for you.

Whose benefits did you receive in 2020? What question do you have about the SS benefits?
