Im trying to enter info from 1099-B. Turbo tax asked for a account number- which I have- but then asked for an 11 character document ID? where is this on the 1099-B?

If you are trying to import your Form 1099-B from your financial institution, then the TurboTax import screen will show you where to find the information needed for the import.  You will generally need the actual tax document in hand to find the specific information required to import the document.  The answer is different for each financial institution so it is not possible to share those details here.  

If you cannot locate it, you can always change how you enter your form and type the data yourself.
