Question: Lump Sum from 1984 to 2022? None, Zero

Never received lump sum payment. Only my wages and social security benefits.

If you are seeing questions about lump sum payments received for earlier tax years, you may have accidentally indicated that you have received a lump sum payment as part of your 2022 Social Security benefits.

Try going back to the Social Security section of your return and be sure that you did not answer the question 'yes' when asked about any lump sum payments. Use the following steps:

On the top row of the TurboTax screen, click on Search
This opens a box where you can type in “social security income”
The search results will give you an option to “Jump to social security income”
Click on the blue “Jump to social security income” link
