Overpayment of Social Security will generally only occur if one individual works more than one job, or changed jobs part way through the year.
The adjustment for overpayment of Social Security will be shown on line 18(d) of your Individual Tax Return. It will also appear on Schedule 3 line 11.

it can also occur if you accidentally list your spouse's W-2 as your's 😉
if your scenario isn't covered by @JohnB5677 's response, suggest reviewing the w-2's again and how they were input.
