You have to enter the 1099R exactly as shown. The boxes don't have to match. Did you type the wrong amount in 2a? If 2a is different by $1 you have to ask the issuer why. It could be due to rounding.
If you go back to edit it be sure to keep going though all the follow up screens to the very end of the retirement section.
