On my 1099-R IRA distribution form it only shows fed taxes paid. For state it shows NY as the sate ID but no amount. I moved to GA on 6/01/20. Can I split between states?

If I lived in two states during 2020 (NY&GA), can I split or allocate the state taxable amount of an IRA distribution to both states?  or do i have to only use the state that is indicated on the 1099-R form?  I ask because it would be more favorable for me to split the entire amount among two states versus just one.

Given that the IRS has already received a copy of this 1099-R it will be expecting what you file to be a match to this. There should be only one state for a distribution and that would be your "home" state. Since you moved on 06/01 then the state in which you moved to (GA) would be considered your home state.
